Length by Article Type

  • Original empirical and theoretical articles: 6,000–8,000 words, including references
  • Review papers (systematic literature reviews, bibliometric studies): 6,000–10,000 words, including references
  • Book reviews and expert commentaries: up to 3,000 words

Title Page (submitted separately, to preserve blind review)

  • Full title, author name(s), affiliation(s), ORCID iD where available, corresponding author email, brief author biography, funding disclosures, and word count

Main Manuscript Structure

  • Title
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (4–6)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review/Theoretical Framework

Formatting Specifications

  • Font: 12-point standard academic serif for English; a clear standard academic Arabic font for Arabic submissions
  • Spacing: 1.5 or double-spaced; Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Tables and figures numbered sequentially with captions, placed near their first mention

Citation Style

English-language submissions follow APA style (7th edition). Arabic-language submissions follow the Chicago Notes-Bibliography style, using numbered footnotes and a full bibliography.

Pre-Submission Checklist

  • Manuscript anonymized, no author names or identifying details in the main file
  • Word count within the range specified for the article type
  • Abstract and keywords included; citations follow the correct style for the submission language
  • Tables and figures numbered and captioned; title page submitted separately
